How much does it cost to join Scouting?

The costs for joining Cub Scouts include fees and dues for both the National Level (Scouts BSA) and for the Pack Level (Pack 216) which are used for providing the scouting program and activities.

A break-down of Costs are as follows:

NATIONAL FEES

  • $25 New Member Fee – This is a one time fee that is paid in the 1st year of scouting.
  • $72 Charter Fee – Annual payment (Provides for the Pack to be officially registered with Scouts BSA)
  • $12 Insurance – Annual payment

PACK FEES

  • Lions Dues: $45/Year ($5/Month) – Since Lions meet less frequently
  • All Other Dens Dues: $63/Year ($7/Month)
  • Dues can be paid on a Monthly or Annual basis.

TOTALS

  • Lions: $154 for 1st Year (New Scouts)
  • All Other Dens: $172 for New Scouts / $147 for Current Scouts
