We are building skills and making fun memories through camping

Cub Scout Packs can conduct and are encouraged to have overnight campouts.  A pack overnight campout can be a great way to get to know the families in the pack and to work on outdoor adventures. The location used for a campout is a site that is approved by the local council.

In order to conduct an overnight campout Scouts BSA requires the following conditions be met:

  1. At least one registered adult leader has completed the Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) training and is present at all times during the campout. (We try to ensure that multiple leaders have taken this training so that in the event one has to leave the campout, this condition is still met).
  2. All scouts, siblings, and Adult partners (Parents, Grandparents, etc.) who are in attendance have completed the required Health (A/B/C) Forms prior to leaving.
  3. Any additional fees related to the campout have been paid prior to leaving.

Our pack conducts three campouts during the year:

  • Fall Campout (October) – Cabin camping with the option to tent camp on-site
  • Spring Campout (April) – Cabin camping with the option to tent camp on-site
  • Summer Family Campout (June) – Tent camping only

The following campsites have been used by our pack for our various campouts:
